The Hathaway residence was designed for a very unique site that faced a public green space and was located on the corner with both a front street and side street. The design responds to the corner location with a wrap around porch that invites you to step up and enjoy a quintessential southern rocking chair experience. The main architecture of the house relates to the public green and becomes the entrance into this community park as a corner entry into the space. The house features a two story front, story-and-a-half garage and a single story connector between. This connector space also serves as the semi-private courtyard for the home giving both a screened in porch and outdoor patio for social activities and long Sunday afternoon naps.
